Cockroaches on the floors even though there is a set pest control certificate posted near reception.
We stayed here to help move my Step-daughter to McMurry. It's a nice, no frills kind of hotel. They do have a very good all you can eat breakfast for guests. There are a couple of restaurants very near by. There's also a Natural Grocer next door. The rooms are nice and the bed comfortable. They have free WiFi that is reliable. The price is decent also. We will stay here again the next time we are in Abilene.
Breakfast is good, but you are treated like an inmate, your paper plate is presented to you on entering the food hall and checked against your room key.
This was not a good hotel I booked thru Priceline thinking I was getting a nicer room for a decent price boy was I wrong. This is a workers hotel maybe deserves a 1 star. Took 3 tries and a room switch to get me in a room 4 trips to the front desk. Side doors wouldn't open. Nowhere to plug in and charge your phone by the bed and the one by the desk didn't work. Had to unplug the TV but that's OK because it didn't work anyways. There is a bar there but then the drunks coming outside to smoke we loud. And didn't look like a good group of people. The night clerk was nice enough but every time I came to the desk I had to wait 5 min for her to show up. Bed was hard as a rock comforters smelled bad. Every thing was just old and outdated. Looks nothing like the pictures. It's more of a workers long term stay hotel old for that purpose it would probably be fine but if your expecting a 2.5 star hotel as they claim you will be didappointed. And the owner could care less refuses to give me a refund.
Mold on the ceiling around the shower head. Dust along all the picture frames, bed linen that's clean but thin like a lace handkerchief. To be fair, the mattresses seem new, probably because of bedbugs reported on Trip Advisor.
The staff is extremely heloful and quick to please. The location is great and the rooms are clean.
There is an odor of formaldehyde, possibly to treat bedbugs.
When you check in, you get a 10 minute cancellation disclaimer of satisfaction.
My husband & I have stayed here several times. We love it! Great service, nice rooms, comfy beds, roomy rooms. They also have a full breakfast in the morning which is awesome & very delicious! They have more than muffins, donuts, bagels, cereal & fruit...they have eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy. You can also get an omelet made for you with whatever you choose to have on it from the choices they have AND they have HUGE Texas shaped waffles in two different flavors..your choice! Highly recommend this place!!!
Bottom line, if your travelling late, check in, sleep, eat like your in a prison canteen, don't take a shower and be on your way.
Beware of instruction signs on how to serve yourself, don't dare take anything food wise from the restaurant.
