We finally got our deposit back 33 days after we moved out, and they charged us for a cabinet that had a hole in it when we got there that we listed on our "Move in Checklist" or whatever it's called. They also charged us $160 for a house cleaning and lawn work after they told us we were responsible for cleaning it up and mowing.
After we moved out we waited about 2 weeks for our deposit to come back in the mail, then I decided to call just to check the status on it. It took a week to get a hold of anybody. The lady who does the deposits, Jill, was always either sick or unavailable. Finally I talked to her, 3 weeks after we moved out, and I asked her what the status was on our deposit. Her response was "It's on the stack."
So I called Jill about the broken cabinet and after about two or three times trying to get a hold of her, I finally got a chance to talk to her. She asked me what cabinet I was talking about to verify which one they had fixed and which one I listed as broken. I told her the right cabinet, and she said the confusion arose because they don't consider a cabinet that has a hole in it a broken cabinet??? She said "A broken cabinet to us means like coming off the hinges."
Pam at McClure is the new broker there. She is taking over management there. Last week our front door would not open when we came home at 8pm. We called her and she came right over to help us. When she couldn't open the door she called her maintenance guy Norman and he came over to get the door open. They were there til about 11pm helping us get back into the house. They replaced the deadbolt right then and there. It was awesome of them to help us that way. I'm happy with them.
I agree with the previous poster that this is a terrible realtor to rent a house from. The property management side of it is awful. I lived in a house rented out by McClure for 12 months, no late payments, and I left the house in great condition. While we lived in the rent house, the management wasn't terrible but it was definitely hard to get anything repaired if need be.
This real estate has poor response to tenant issues. They also provide less than desirable locations left in awful conditions. They will expect for you to improve the property before they return your deposit. We are currently discussing this case with an attorney.
One thing McClure is good at is putting stuff off.
The biggest problems I have had with them is after I moved out. They sent us a letter describing what we needed to do before we moved out (Clean house, mow yard etc.) My wife and I spent an entire day cleaning and mowing, and the house was in very good condition when we left.
Avoid renting from this place if you have a choice.

So as of now I'm getting charged $127 to replace a cabinet that was already broken when we moved in. She said she had to talk to her manager about giving me the money back, because she feels she made the right call since I just said that it was broken. She said, "I'm not making this decision I don't get paid enough for this stuff." Of course I still haven't heard back from Jill or the manager about the money being returned to me.
