Don't hire them for property management you'll regret at the end.
Rented an apartment from them years ago, had no idea they sent me a bill for "cleaning" fees after we moved out. Got my free credit report only to find it on there just recently. It's been nearly 5 years since we lived in Abilene. First off, we rented in those low rent crappy apartments off of Jefferson Street across the railroad tracks from Kmart. At the time rent was $350 a month, and we lived there to save money so we could move to another city. The carpet had holes in it, there were burn marks on the counter tops, and they did a shoddy patch job on the ceiling above the shower. The AC drained into the shower, and apparently had a habit of leaking too in that same spot. It created a big bubbly wet hole in the ceiling over the shower because it was leaking probably from the drain pan being clogged by big wads of rust which dumped through that little drain pipe pretty regularly. We called them continuously to come fix it, and they never did and then had the nerve to try and charge us for it. They have shoddy "handymen" who fix up old stoves and water heaters to put in their rental properties. Our water heater caught on fire at the wiring, our stove also caught fire twice while we lived there because of the crappy wiring jobs done by people who clearly didn't know what they were doing. I'm not sure what the $543 charge was for once we moved out since I never saw that bill, but after the living conditions we endured trying to save money to leave Abilene I'd rather eat that expense in my credit rating than give your company another red cent. They finally ate the cost of buying a brand new water heater for our apartment after leaving us without hot water for 2 days. After the stove caught on fire both times they brought us a new rigged stove from wherever they keep all of their junk. Needless to say we stopped using the stove after that and cooked in an electric skillet on top of the stove for the rest of the time we lived there. It wasn't worth the potential fire hazard. Needless to say, the people who run this company are straight up slum lords. Beware!
My daughter just signed a lease with them. She was told it was a good place to rent by the girl who did her paperwork. She's been in there for maybe 3 weeks and has already had to call the police twice. Once because a man would not leave her house, trying to get her to open the door and then 3 days later she gets her front door kicked in and robbed in broad daylight but they don't see a single mom of two is in any danger. They will not let her out of her lease agreement wants her to move to another property which the police have told us at everyone we have looked at was not a good place . So she can just move and screw her credit or she can stay and take a chance of being robbed or worse . They do not care about safety at all.
I lived in a two bedroom apartment I rented through Key Property. If there was ever an issue, it was resolved quickly. The staff was friendly, and I never had any issues.
These people are scum of the earth. They will try to scrape every last dime from you. They have lost almost all my paperwork and will charge you for things you already paid for and claim you never paid (simply because they lost their record of it). I spoke with countless of other people who rented with them and experienced the same problems. Do not go there. Save yourself the frustration. Poor business with extremely poor management.
