I was told that I needed an echocardiogram. For 4 weeks I followed up with their office and left several messages (they never responded back) to get them to do the pre-authorization required. I was told I needed to go on high blood pressure medication. I asked if I could have 4 weeks to see if diet and exercise would help improve it, they reluctantly agreed but made sure to tell me if I did not go on medication if I saw no improvement that they would drop me. Fair enough I suppose, so I started to watch what I ate and got tried to get more exercise. I saw improvement immediately for a few weeks. Then stress caused it to jump up again, I called the office and requested they put me on a low dose to help it come back down. They sent my script to the wrong pharmacy. So when I called to ask about why my script was no sent in, they said they sent it to a pharmacy and I explained that I had never used that pharmacy. They argued that is what they have on file. I explained AGAIN that I had never used that pharmacy. They finally agreed to send to the correct pharmacy. Then I got a phone call telling me that they were sending a stronger script to the wrong pharmacy. I explained AGAIN that I had never used that pharmacy and to please send it to the correct pharmacy. Then I asked why they were sending a higher dose medication when I have not tried the original dose yet. I was told that I had been on the medication for two weeks with no improvement. I had to explain that they had not prescribed me the medication on the initial visit and I had not been taking any medication. They argued that was what was in their records. I AGAIN explained that they had it incorrect and requested that they send me the lower dose to the correct pharmacy.
I am a very happy patient! Called today around 1:45 they told me to be there at 2:15pm. Mind you they had to be busy with being closed almost 2 days cause of the ice. So I was very happy they could fit me in. I usually see Dr. Longley but I saw the nurse practitioner which she was great. Saw me and treated me I was in and out the door in about 45 minutes! This place is great anyone looking for a PCP I recommend this office!
We will be finding a new doctor to say the least.
I finally got them to send the correct dosage to the correct pharmacy and I am STILL WAITING to get the pre-auth done for the echocardiogram that they ordered.
