Awful service. I called for advice for my kitten and the man who answered the phone was so rude.
I have seen a lot of negative reviews on Dr. Hitchcock but I have to say every time I've been hes been matter of fact and direct which I like I don't want to be coddled I want my dog to get better and I want to leave. My first experience was when our Chihuahua was in labor and she was bleeding out we lived by Wal-Mart on 351 and hit every vet on the way and not one vet would see her without cash in hand so we drove all the way across town and Dr. Hitchcock took her immediately and did a c section and didn't request money till the job was done and let us pay him out he also gave her all her shots and clipped her toe nails. We then took my other dog to be Neutered everything went great but when we got home Harley began to whimper and yelp even when petting his head I gave it a couple of days then decided Id take him back just in case well that little stinker goes prancing into the vet's office like he was on holiday. Dr Hitchcock chuckled told me I got played but still examined him clipped his toe nails and gave me some doggy ibuprofen just in case all for free. I've also taken my cat to him as well he is great with all animals I cant' thank him enough for all he does for my pets. My Chihuahua just randomly started dragging his back legs a few years ago and couldn't walk so we took him to Dr. Hitchcock and he gave him so meds to keep me relaxed in hopes hed get better then he called me later and told me hed spoken to an emergency vet and asked me to take him over there to get an exray mind you this was around 7 at night clearly he was closed. He then called me later that evening to check on Harley again and he called almost everyday for several weeks to check on my dog he In no way had to but he did. Harley is now completely back to normal.
The only one in town that would help me with my ball python when she got sick. Good with even reptiles
SO, to the man who answered the phone:
The man who answered the phone has got to be the biggest ass I've ever met. I have had a puppy for about 2 weeks who is showing signs of worms. He needed to get in to see someone. While this guys was able to see him fairly quickly, I called back after making the appointment to ask about pricing. I am not from here and had just bought a plane ticket home on top of paying rent. I asked if he had payment options. His response was "You don't have. $X amount of dollars?! I have no idea who you are and you're asking me if you can make two payments?!" I get paid on Monday. I was planing on taking my little man in next Wednesday to a different vet to receive more vaccinations, but wanted to get him treated quickly for the worms.
Yes, I did have the money that it cost to treat my dog, it was a mere question. However, the fact you were so quick to jump to conclusions about who I am and how much money I make was completely spoken out of term. I have never in my life met someone so Inconsiderate. I just moved into town 2 months ago, and will NEVER under any circumstance take my baby here. If you treated me that way OVER THE PHONE, God only knows how you would treat my Little man when he isn't feeling well. To anyone looking to bring their pet here I would highly recommend looking somewhere else unless being judged and treated badly is something you're okay with. Especially when it comes down to how someone may treat your pet who, to me, is apart of my family.
talked to him on the phone to get some appointments....oh my .....rudest one person I've ever come across
