I, too, am shocked by some of the negative reviews! I have worked for Dr. Early, in the past, for several years, and he has seen many of my animals over the last 12 or so years. I have NEVER witnessed ANY of the negative actions described above! He can be very blunt at times and maybe that was mistaken for attitude? Some people just can't handle blunt. SMH!!!
Honestly, there are very few vets that I trust with my animals and Dr. Early is ONE of those few. He is very passionate about animals and very knowledgeable. A very skilled Vet.
As far as him telling someone that they should take their pets anxiety medication...lol..he was obviously joking...or maybe you should really consider doing so????
My puppy had an infected and swollen foot, my vet was on vacation so I called around several places on a Friday morning to get an Appt, No spots available but this clinic offered to work me into their schedule. Everyone was very friendly, Dr Early figured out the problem immediately, took the extra time to answer my questions and no one ever tried to hurry us out despite being very busy, my 5-month old labs foot was more than double it's normal size due to an infected wound on one of his toes, I enjoyed talking with Dr Early, I could tell he was a very good Dr, I highly recommend him! Thanks Abilene Animal Hospital for taking care of my pup on such short notice, I'm glad I brought him to your clinic!

I'm not %100 sure how I feel about this place. The Staff is super friendly. The Dr. How ever makes me feel like im dumb and should know everything that he knows. I told him my cat pooped and his butt was really red he said well it's his intestines it's supposed to be red he lifted his tail said I can give him some stool and lube softener hes stool is probably hard ,and that was pretty much the "exam" that alone cost $49 I could understand if he really got in there and did some exam-ish stuff like weight him, look at his fur, make sure he didn't have fleas or ticks but a tail lift I could have done that for free. I almost peed my pants when I got the full total. If asked I would say call around first before booking here.
We love Dr. Early and his staff!! He has always taken such good care of our fur babies!! A year ago, our lab jumped into our truck and severely injured her back. She was unable to use her back legs, so we rushed her in to Dr. Early. He gave us our options, and we decided to leave her there for treatments. After a few weeks, she was getting better, stronger, and more able to move. We brought her home, then took her back and forth to Dr. Early for outpatient treatments. We followed his rehab advice at home, and she continued to improve. A year later, she is back to normal and you wouldn't even know she had injured herself! Dr. Early is intelligent, caring, and knows his stuff!!
