I'm a new patient and I loved the office and his staff. Took the time to get to know me and hear my concerns. Everyone was polite and professional. I feel confident that I chose the right family doctor.

When I couldn't find a doctor in Abilene to treat me after I moved here (I actually went to three different ones who said they'd never even heard of the medications I was taking!) Dr. Martin was able to pick right up where my previous doctor left off. He didn't treat me like an addict or someone who just wanted medications. He was sincerely concerned with treating my pain. And after an issue with insurance from my old job, he worked with me to handle paying out of pocket until my new benefits kicked in. His staff is wonderful. I'm so glad I found him!

After considering removing myself and my husband Dyess AFB, I found Dr. Martin's office and was excited that he believed in more natural things then medication since I do not believe in medication for healing; however, I was put in with Freddie who is super nice and easy to talk too. However, my last visit was with Dr. Martin because I wasn't allowed to see Freddie because of my insurance....with that said, I seen Dr. Martin. For the last 10 years I have had a lot of medical issues after being in 6 rear end collision, a serious injury from an inner tube and broke my back with two different surgeries from just that particular incident. I was explaining to him that my elbow and my joints are hurting really bad especially my elbow and that it keeps me up at night....and my jaw hurts it when I even open my mouth. After moving my arm/hand and never looking at my jaw... he made the comment that it was in my head.....I asked so you think I'm crazy and then he exploded....after everything was said and done he said that there was something in my child hood....blah blah blah and gave me three different counseling organizations names. I have celiac disease which causes joint issues, I have MTHFT that I received my results from and EDS (and yes, I have DNA results to prove everything) so I do know that this is not ALL in my head. So if you don't think I'm crazy then what was the purpose of referring me to counseling?? The experience that I received from Dr. Martin was pathetic. Till this day, I still can't open my mouth and I hurt from even chewing so its to the point where I am drinking shakes....so my conclusion is He has to be right on everything and can't be like Freddie and talk. He exploded at my question and doesn't give nothing for his patients....The only reason I gave him a two was because Freddie is amazing and its so sad the he works from Dr. Martin. My recommendation .... I would find somewhere else to go. I have dealt with a lot of doctors but I have never been talked to the way that he talked to me. Just be thankful my husband kept telling me to be quite and I listened to ABBA....

My wife and I have recently started seeing Dr. Martin about starting a good Wellness program. Not only does he take the time to ask good questions about our lifestyle and what we are wanting to accomplish, he also takes the time to explain things at a level we can truly understand, thus are able to "buy into" the program. And if he happens to recommend a product that his office sells, I fully trust that he is acting on OUR best interest, because he is also quick to give commonly available alternatives (he even took the time to look up some online yogurt nutritional information for me right there on the spot!). You might have to wait a while for your first appointment, but trust me, if you are wanting to approach your health and wellness with something more than "here, try this pill," and have an honest, currently-educated, Godly man walk you through this typically challenging change, then Dr. Martin is the doctor for you.

Best doctor ever, saved my life
