My son is a student at ACU - called me yesterday to say "Dad, my car won't start... again!" Just had the battery replaced at Pep Boys two weeks ago - obviously that wasn't the problem. DJ's quickly figured out it was an issue with wiring on the steering column. Had him up and running in less than 24 hours, and on HOMECOMING WEEKEND! Deborah (owner) is my new best friend! She was empathetic and understanding for this dad some 300 miles away, was knowledgable and complete in all our calls and even did some shuffling to help get Ben's car going before the weekend. GREAT customer service! I don't hope his car has more problems before he graduates next year, but if it does (perhaps I should say "when"), I am very confident with the car care we've got just down the street now at DJ's!
I've gone to DJ's for about 5 years, ever since finding them ranked at the top of a well-known list of local service businesses. I can't overstate how much I like these folks. They are the straightest shooters around, and I absolutely trust them with all aspects of my vehicles. There have been several times they have performed minor services for me at no charge, to the point where I am practically begging them to take my money for a bigger job. (Those jobs eventually need to be done, all right!) Debra has provided great advice at times about which jobs probably should be done soon and which ones are best put off or not done at all. ("Up to you, but if it were my car, I probably wouldn't even do X...") The only thing that gives me pause is that if we keep writing these great reviews, I'm afraid they'll never have a slot open to take my vehicle in. Understandably, these folks are busy!
Yes, I would highly recommend DJ's to anyone who needs a vehicle repair. Debra and her mechanic, are very trust worthy. I have always had a great experience doing business with them. Thank you Debra and Doug, and all your hard work!
Deborah operates the BEST repair shop in Abilene, hand's down. Can't imagine who I would trust other than her. She is AMAZING.
The owner is always great at explaining things and very nice. Dependable and trustworthy. Very reasonable prices. They get a lot of business but still get you in quick. They treat their customers very well! They even do free pre-trip checks for previous customers! My boyfriend and I always take our cars here and have never been disappointed.
