Don't ever rate or review places so I made a point to make an account to make sure this place did get one from me. Upon hearing good things about the tailor here, I made my way with some suits and pants I needed to be altered. Having no days off in my job and living an hour and a half away, I was very much looking forward to taking care of my clothes that my job requires me to have and looking my best. As I walked in I was immediately given a disgusted look by a lady that worked there as though I was coming in covered in feces and she asked me what I needed. Trying to disregard her look, I told her what I needed to alter some suits and she told me the tailor was busy at the moment so for the next few minutes I just stood at the door waiting to be helped or told where to place my clothes I needed fixed. Finally, I was introduced to the tailor. EXTREMELY great guy! He was incredibly professional, understanding about my situation, very knowledgeable in what he was doing, and trying to help me to the best of his ability. I understood that the in house bought alterations had priority over mine and was willing to work with that. Especially since I was about to drop $500+ worth of work. He told me I could leave maybe one thing so I asked if it could be one suit. I needed to do atleast that for a photoshoot I had been planning for the following weekend. He said no problem and took my measurements and explained to me of what worked best with the fit and suit I had. Like I said, really great guy. Meanwhile, the (what I can only assume was the manager by his arrogant demeanor and constant shaking of the head as I was being measured) was looking very upset that I was even being helped at all. After finishing up, the shaking head guy cashed me out with constant scoffing and when at the register, a fellow younger employee even told him "use your words" in a playful tone to cut the intensity of the situation. He replied "thanks!" very apruptly and told me I could pick up my suit in a month. As a customer service rep, photographer, and image consultant I was incredibly disappointed with so many aspects of how I was treated as a customer. Especially when most men have trouble even getting out of their comfort zone going to explore a new store like that. After leaving and setting my clothes back in my car, I came back in to browse at the products because I am a suit fanatic. I was waiting to see if someone would offer help or suggest something. I was just shadowed by shaking head guy and got fed up, bought a tie bar from the younger gentleman, and left. As an image consultant who likes to have connections and promote places to clients, it's safe to say I would stress how bad the service is there and would only recommend the tailor for help to someone.
I bought some pants and a vest at this store. the manager gave me a big discount. I will definitely be back. great service too
Well, the lovely sales associate didn’t stop there. I asked about renting verses buying and she continued to belittle my question by dancing around the dollar amount. Finally I simply asked, “do you have a pricing guide” or informational sheet about the program and in which she fired back and very firm and assertive “No!”. So fellas in Abilene, save yourself the head ache, gas money and time and avoid this store. Not worth being respectable, nice and being simply informative to a person who gets paid to be a subject matter expert of formal wear and lacks competent and critical information.
The suit was fly and the tailor was FANTASTIC. They need to work on training their salespeople better though. I had a young kid working with me and he treated me pretty poorly. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how the suit turned out though
A simple in person Inquiry gone horribly wrong. I have never been more shocked by a major clothings stores lack of professionalism or resources. I went in to ask about renting a simple Navy suite for my groomsmen for my wedding at the end of the year. Not only was I abruptly denied information regarding navy suits from the lady behind the counter, but also lectured on what I can deem as “groomsmen gifts” and that I needed to figure my groomsmen’s attire out “at least six months to a year.” When I asked “according to who?” in regards to the “6 month” rule... she referenced a print out sheet, placed in a frame next to a display in size 16 Times New Roman font. So courteous of her. So for any groom reading this, there apparently are rules about your wedding and time line, and they are located at Men’s Warehouse.
Wow!! What a great store. Some of the prices were pretty high. But they gave me sum great discounts. Ended up saving a bunch of money. Really knowledgeable staff. They know their stuff. I will definately be back
On a side note, the only reason I gave them one star... the sales associate who helped me with shirts was a nice guy.
