TAYLOR COUNTY TAPHOUSE is the place we go! It has been our crews choice to meet up on many special occasions such as birthdays, graduation, and even daughter's engagement. Sometimes it's just the girls and other times it's friends and family. We really enjoy this place. Best food and drink in town! Atmosphere and service always great. Also...I just tried their burger for the first time...had it delivered. Yep! This is now my place when I just want a hamburger! Those pickles! PERFECT Thanks TCT
When I was living in Abilene, Taylor County Taphouse opened its doors - and what a treasure. There is no place quite like it in town. Great food, fantastic bartenders and wonderful service. Great variety and when you stop in ask what is off menu. They are frequently cooking something good - maybe it is ribs out back on the grill or quail in the kitchen. The beer...well....great variety....yes they have the normal domestic stuff, but do not waste your money when for just a little bit more, you can get a wonderful craft beer that helps to enhance the flavor of whatever you are eating. Great spot.
The service was good. We were there as a large party so considering the size of the party I can complain about the service. I had the salmon with tomatoes couscous which was good. The tomatoes couscous was a little overwhelming but not turn me completely off from the dish. I can’t remember the sauce that was added to the plate but it should be more it was delicious.
Weather dropped chilly out on patio & they couldn't put down the windbreakers... Something about being broken. Since no wind block, moved inside. Food was good. Just cooled down fast in the cool night air Mon. night. My husband did not like the steak Diane, but loved his salmon. The bacon-wrapped quail & grits appetizer,
Great staff with a solid knowledge of the beer selection. They allow samples before you buy if you're unsure what you want. The food is clearly made with care and attention to detail. Great place!
